CARES have developed a secure web site to enable reinforcements producers to transmit the product test data to their customers. The web site, is operated and maintained by CARES to provide benefits to all purchasers of reinforcing steels supplied by CARES approved companies.

How does it work?

The secure web site receives a copy of the product test data for each cast of steel when it is dispatched from the steel producer's works and then validated and stored on the CARES reinforcing steel product test database.

The access to the database is via a username and password allocated by CARES, to permit access only to data relevant to an individual user. A successful trial between a steel producer and a number of reinforcement fabricators has proven the operation of the system.

Initial feedback indicates there has been a significant reduction in the volume of documents forwarded from the reinforcing steel producer to the reinforcement fabricator and a reduction in the time and cost spent in validating, storing and retrieving product test data.
